Skewers from the oven - skewers are tastiest when grilled on a real grill. By "real" I mean a charcoal grill. If necessary, an electric grill or oven can replace the "real" one.
You can make skewers from various ingredients. Adjust the quantities and types of ingredients to your needs and taste. I made them from the listed ingredients.
I bought Carniola sausage. Well, for a change. Although I had planned to buy kebabs in bacon, to cut them into several pieces and put them on sticks. I wonder what is so expensive about these sausages besides the veins and fat?! For that money, they could have had a slightly nicer smell 😉
ingredients:
- 1 medium onion
- 2 medium red peppers
- 1 small zucchini
- 3 Carniola sausages
- to taste: salt, pepper and crushed hot pepper
Preparation:
- Cut the sausages and vegetables into similar sized pieces.
- Sprinkle with pepper, hot pepper and salt.
- Arrange the sausages and vegetables alternately on the sticks (the order does not matter).
- If you want to fill the pan (like me), add new potatoes (cut into smaller pieces) that you previously coated with oil and sprinkled with salt.
Bake in a preheated oven at 220 degrees for about 20 minutes.
Serve the skewers with a salad and a side dish of your choice. You can see the salad in the photos.
What you don't see is vegetable soup with dumplings and vegetable puree (potatoes, carrots, celery). I served the soup before the skewers, and the puree with them. And after lunch cakes - roll from yesterday, koh from today and muffins from the day before yesterday 🙂
