Love Recipe (2008)
Recipe for love (Love Recipe) is a short cartoon, the plot of which slowly introduces us to the story of a couple in love preparing to celebrate their anniversary in their own apartment. He is in the kitchen, concentrating on preparing a festive chocolate cake, when he is persistently interrupted by their lively chihuahua dog, wanting to find company to play with. Meanwhile, his wife is getting ready in the bathroom: bathing, dressing in her sexiest clothes, putting on makeup. Their movements and actions, without even being aware of it, are completely synchronized, completely coordinated.
This great cartoon short is signed by a group of authors (directed by): Felipe Pizarro Sáenz De Urtury, Frederic Bajou, Morgan Bourdon, Jiun Yiing Mow, Loic Paoli, music composed by Mathieu Alvado, music performed by Star Pop Orchestra, and production by Supinfocom Arles 2008
Although the movie Love Recipe was not a commercial success, it has been watched on YouTube so far more than 11 million people! The way this film was made, directed and produced, does not tell us that it is about anonymous authors and an unknown film work. On the contrary, the film looks as if it came out of a big and famous film studio.
What to say about a dog? It is difficult to conclude after watching the film, who is the main character? A couple in love, a love of food or a phenomenal chihuahua?
