The Belgrade Chronicle team visited us and recorded a short presentation of our website Recipes and Cookbook online. On that occasion, we also discussed the book Traditional recipes of Serbian cuisine, which is coming out of print soon.

Even 85% of housewives copied a recipe from social networks at least once. On the other side of this story are people from various professions. For some, it's just a hobby, and some say that they make a good living from it, Slađana Tomašević, editor of the Belgrade Chronicle, said in the introduction.

Milica Spasić, reporter: On Miodrag Ilić's website, in addition to recipes, you can find interesting reports and interviews with famous people who share a common passion for a good meal.

Miodrag Ilic: Let's say, from the famous, I would single out the world famous Dr. Alain Delabois, who invented the concept of chrono nutrition, in the 80s of the last century. He was our guest for 10-15 minutes, during the promotion of his book in Belgrade. Well, then, let's say, Milorad Milinković, who is very famous in the media, right here at RTS, the searcher in the Potera quiz. We also had a guest Zoran Modli, a well-known radio presenter and a well-known media personality.

Milica Spasic: There are also prize games on such sites. The chef of the month, the recipe of the year is chosen. Miodrag decided to collect traditional recipes from these areas, and they will soon be translated into a book.

Miodrag Ilic: Traditional recipes are only those recipes that were created before the Second World War and for which there is a reliable written record or verbal interpretation. Because, after the Second World War, great industrialization began, the addition of food additives, flavor enhancers, etc. Which does not represent the cultural heritage of a country.

Milica Spasic: Clear text, beautiful photos and a video that describes in detail the process of preparing a dish can encourage even beginners in cooking. However, originality always comes at a price.

For some, this is just a hobby, but it can also make good money. Professional chefs are more often men than women. However, women enjoy cooking more, data confirms. And they visit Internet kitchens more regularly. Even 85% of housewives copied a recipe from social networks at least once.
