Restaurant Gasthaus im Landhaushof, is about a 5-minute walk from the center of Klagenfurt. The specialty of this restaurant is traditional Austrian cuisine - beef dishes. The restaurant has completely retained the appearance of an old Austrian inn, with large tables and benches for 6+ people. From the old, traditional, specialties they serve: beef with vegetables, spinach and potatoes, stew, sausages, etc... The motto of this restaurant is: "all classic recipes of local cuisine and a good selection of wines"!

By the way, Klagenfurt (in Slovenian: Celovec ob Vrbskem jezeru) is the capital of the Austrian province of Carinthia (in Slovenian: Koruška). About 90.000 inhabitants live in Klagenfurt, which makes it the 6th largest city in Austria.

After walking through the old city squares, rich in monuments of historical and cultural heritage, on a cold January day, we visited the restaurant Gasthaus im Landhaushof, to try some of the authentic recipes of Austrian cuisine. Since it was Saturday, and it was around 14 pm, and we didn't make a reservation in advance, we had to wait about 10 minutes. I don't think a reservation would help either, since it's that type of restaurant - with a homely atmosphere, noisy... If you have to wait a little longer, to pass the time there is a large bar with a good selection of various drinks and draft beer.

For the main dish we chose goulash, a traditional recipe of Austrian cuisine (and many claim Viennese cuisine). Very thick, with the addition of potatoes, spicy, spicy, just right, from delicious beef. A perfect choice for lunch.
