Sarmice od chard - Verica Poznanović - Recipes and Cookbook online

Sarmice made of Swiss chard, a traditional recipe.

Chard sardines, ingredients:

  • 500 g of minced meat,
  • 2 bundles of Swiss chard (about 20 smaller leaves),
  • 2 green onions,
  • 2 cloves of young garlic,
  • oil,
  • dry herb seasoning,
  • pepper,
  • Cayenne pepper,
  • 1 spoons of ajvar,
  • 1 handful of rice,
  • chopped parsley leaf and
  • 1 egg.

Chard sardines, preparation:

  • Fry chopped onion and garlic in oil, then add minced meat, mix everything and sauté. Add dry herbal seasoning, pepper, ajvar parsley leaf, egg and mix everything well.
  • Bring the water to a boil in a pan, then clean the Swiss chard and run it through hot water. Place a leaf and one spoonful of filling on the palm of your hand, then roll up the strips and arrange them in a pot or an earthenware vessel.
  • Cover with cooked tomatoes and put in the oven at 220 degrees C for about 20-30 minutes.
  • Serve with sour milk or sour cream. That is, according to taste.
