Sarmice made of Swiss chard, a traditional recipe.
Chard sardines, ingredients:
- 500 g of minced meat,
- 2 bundles of Swiss chard (about 20 smaller leaves),
- 2 green onions,
- 2 cloves of young garlic,
- oil,
- dry herb seasoning,
- pepper,
- Cayenne pepper,
- 1 spoons of ajvar,
- 1 handful of rice,
- chopped parsley leaf and
- 1 egg.
Chard sardines, preparation:
- Fry chopped onion and garlic in oil, then add minced meat, mix everything and sauté. Add dry herbal seasoning, pepper, ajvar parsley leaf, egg and mix everything well.
- Bring the water to a boil in a pan, then clean the Swiss chard and run it through hot water. Place a leaf and one spoonful of filling on the palm of your hand, then roll up the strips and arrange them in a pot or an earthenware vessel.
- Cover with cooked tomatoes and put in the oven at 220 degrees C for about 20-30 minutes.
- Serve with sour milk or sour cream. That is, according to taste.
