Sesame cake - Verica Poznanović - Recipes and Cookbook online

Scones with sesame seeds.

Sesame cake, ingredients:

  • 1 cup yogurt,
  • 1 glass of lukewarm water,
  • 2 teaspoons of sugar,
  • 1 tablespoon of dry yeast (10 g),
  • 1 cup of oil,
  • 2 eggs,
  • 1 tablespoons of black sesame,
  • 1 tablespoon of white sesame,
  • 1 teaspoon of salt and
  • 850 g of flour.

To coat:

  • 1 egg yolk and
  • 1 tablespoon of oil.

<strong>Preparation: </strong>

  • Combine yogurt, water, sugar and yeast.
  • Pour the flour into a bowl, add salt, sesame, black sesame and oil gradually. Stir all the time, then add the eggs. Stir, then add the yogurt mixture. First combine with a blender, then knead the dough with your hands. Cover and let it rest for about an hour.
  • Transfer the dough to a floured work surface, knead and divide into two parts.
  • Roll out the first part of the dough in the form of a circle with a diameter of about 35 cm and transfer it to the parchment paper. Make a circle in the middle of the dough with a round plate.
  • Form a circle with your fingers, and make indentations with a glass.
  • Brush the cake with beaten egg yolk to which you have added oil.
  • Transfer with parchment paper to a baking sheet and bake at 180°C for about 25 minutes.
  • From the second half of the dough, make a cake in the same way or something to your taste.
