Sweet from roses - in Pata's great folk cookbook it is written that May roses are used. I used the ones from my garden and they smell strong and intoxicating.

  • 100 g of rose petals
  • 1 l of water
  • 1 kg of sugar
  • 0,5 bags of limontus
  1. Pour 1 liter of water into a pot, and when the water boils, add the chopped rose petals and cook them for about 15 minutes. The water will darken and the petals will turn green, but that's how it should be.
  2. After 15 minutes, add sugar, and immediately after that, lemon juice.
    At the same moment, the green water will acquire a "ruby red" color. When the density is sufficient, remove the sweet from the heat, cover with a damp cloth, and pour it into jars only the next day.
