When it comes to Serbian national dishes. Your mothers and grandmothers must have made them for you snacks for breakfast or dinner, and since then, uštipki have remained in your memory as one of the most beautiful dishes in the world, which is also easy to make. Believe it or not, this traditional dish is one of the favorites option for breakfast in Belgrade on the river.

The most beautiful with the udders is that you can eat them with literally any spread under heaven, whether they are sweet or salty, and there are also dumplings with meat, such as the famous Leskovac, or classic from dough that anyone can make at home, and there are also international variants that can be said to resemble our clothespins, but they are not the same.

What are paper clips and how do we make them all?

Pins generally represent a type of food whose composition resembles doughnuts, with the pinches being more similar to bread. They are made from flour, yeast, salt and sugar, and can be sweet or salty, although you can make them salty, so eat with jam or cream, or even sugar, and thus sweeten them.

Some varieties of stuffed nips may contain apple, pumpkin, meat or various types of cheese, yogurt or sour milk. In addition to being popular in our country, traditional earring are still made in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Macedonia, as a main dish or dessert.

If you want to make salty traditional hairpins you need to put half a kilo of flour in one bowl, and eggs, flour, water and salt in the other and mix it gently with a mixer. In that container slowly add the flour together with the baking powder, and then you mix it until it comes together and becomes thicker. When this happens, take out the pegs with a spoon and dip them in the heated oil fry until golden.

Another variant salty snacks are yeast nibbles that you make by adding yeast to warm milk, adding a pinch of salt and sugar and letting it rise. Then, put the eggs in the yeast that has arrived, a add the flour gradually to make a dough which is thicker than pancake batter, and add salt if desired. Mix it all with a blender, cover and let it rise. Finally, fry them in the same way as the classic ones.

Leskovac paperclips, that is, shakers, are a phenomenal specialty characteristic of Leskovac and the surrounding region, and especially loved by people who cannot do without meat when it comes to any dish. For the preparation of meat pies, it is necessary to grind the meat twice, and then add it to the bacon and cheese that you previously cut into cubes.

Then, salt it all together, add pepper, and add crushed garlic and hot pepper. When you mix it well, let it rest for half an hour, and then form balls with wet hands. These clips you can grill or in a pan in a little oil, or even in the oven on a greased pan.

Are there international versions of the clips?

The snacks that we are used to and that we like to eat are characteristic of our area, therefore it cannot be said that there is something identical or even similar that belongs to the tradition of another nation. When talking about neighboring countries, the closest thing that could pass as a pinch is the Hungarian langoustine, since this Hungarian national fast food it is also a dough served with cheese and garlic, however, the composition is more reminiscent of our little ones.

The Spanish have churros which can be said to be some kind of sweet pin, but they can't be said to be 100% like pin, but rather remind us of parties, when it comes to appearance and the way they are used.

While the rest of the world is treated to donuts which are ultimately the closest to uštipka in terms of composition and method of frying, we enjoy uštipka, which is one of the reasons why foreigners love our cuisine so much, and the impression they have even more the fact that I can't try them everywhere reinforces it and which represent part of a unique national experience.
