For years, it was thought that avocados belong to foods that only make you fat because of the high percentage of fat in them, but then scientists discovered fibers, minerals and vitamins that keep us healthy and beautiful. Large amounts of vitamin E (vitamin of youth), vitamins B and K, as well as potassium, which is even more than in bananas, pushed this fruit to the very top of the health food ladder. Unlike the past years, avocados will not make you fat, but just keep you young, strong and toned.

Cauliflower

One cup of cauliflower provides you with one third of your daily needs for vitamin C, it is full of vitamin K, that is, a powerful anti-inflammatory component and of course, an antioxidant. It contains large amounts of indole 3 carbinol, which restores our DNA and stops the growth of cancerous cells.

With all these wonderful properties, cauliflower is still very low in calories and won't attack your waistline as long as you don't fry it. So, smokers, munch on fresh cauliflower whenever you can.

Black beans

Food that until recently we avoided because of its caloric value, scientists now recommend to us in the fight against obesity. Therefore, black beans are not fattening even though they have a lot of calories, on the contrary, they will help us maintain a line.

Grapefruit strikes back at raspberries and is back at the top of healthy foods. Of course, it is known to be full of vitamin C, lycopene which is a powerful antioxidant and pectin, which is known to slow down atherosclerosis and lower LDL cholesterol in the blood.

Black (blackened) garlic

We have all known the healing properties of garlic for a long time, however, that was not enough for scientists, they had to search for something even healthier, and that's how they discovered black garlic. In fact, it is this old garlic of ours that has femented itself. Fermentation doubles the antioxidants from (blackened) garlic, as well as its anti-inflammatory properties. It is excellent for lowering blood cholesterol as well as a mild, natural antibiotic. It is used in the preparation of risotto, pizza, lamb, as an addition to sauces, and it can also be served alone, with bread and olive oil. It can be made into a sweet or a syrup, and those who have tried it say that it is "as sweet as caramel".
