Testival #3 - Don't forget how vanilla is made

the third Dough, pasta and bread festival TESTIVAL, will be held in Dorćol Platz on Saturday and Sunday 09.10. and 10.10.2021. from 11 a.m. to 19 p.m., both days.

During the two TESTING days, visitors will be able to see the offer with promotional prices from more than 30 exhibitors and attend more than 6 workshops with tasting! Vanilla is the main theme of the TESTIVAL 2021 #3 workshop.

The official program of the TESTIVAL #3 Festival begins with the opening ceremony on Saturday, October 09.10.2021, 12. at XNUMX noon, when representatives of the organizers, the TESTIVAL Association, representatives of the TESTIVAL Festival Council and representatives of the Tourism Organization of the city of Vranje will address the attendees and the media. The opening will be magnified by the performance of the KUD Folklore Ensemble by Dimitrije Koturović from Belgrade, thanks to the partnership assistance of Folklor magazine, which will be the most beautiful introduction and reminder of the tradition and intangible cultural heritage of the Republic of Serbia.

The guest of TESTIVAL this time will be the Tourism Organization of the city of Vranje, which will present all the beauties and tourist advantages of the city and the region, as well as the main culinary specialty: samsa!

Vranje is a city of special cultural heritage, a city of recognizable forms of human creativity through music, song, dance, food, speech, and traditions. Vranje is a place of unique modesty and warmth, the essence of which cannot be seen with the eyes. Vranje should be experienced because Vranje is a city with a soul. In addition to dert and sevdah, the people of Vranje are characterized by enjoying a traditional meal, which is mostly permeated by dough dishes. That's why TO Vranje will present itself by making samsa, a unique pie from the Vranje region that is very simple and offers plenty of sensory experience.

The main partner of TESTIVAL for education is the Metro HoReCa center and the Serbian Junior Chefs Club (Association of Junior Chefs of Serbia). The Serbian JCC represented Serbia several times at the Ikka Culinary Olympics in Stuttgart, where their representatives won several silver and bronze medals. Only the golden one is missing. Together with the chefs Dr. Milica Aleksić and Nebojša Veselinović, the Serbian JCC will prepare various varieties of shortcrust pastry and vanilla.

Tatjana Vujčić, Tanjini kolachi, and Milica Bosnić, Perfection, will tell their stories about how the best vanilla ice creams are made according to their grandmother's old recipes and how they turned vanilla ice cream into a successful business story.

This time, we will be joined by a team from the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism in Vrnjačka Banja, University of Kragujevac, so all visitors, in a conversation with their representatives, will be able to learn everything about how to become a top expert in gastronomic management or in the hotel industry. and tourism.

Everything prepared by culinary masters at the workshops will be available for tasting. Because TESTIVAL is a place where families come. A place where you can see something beautiful, learn, and by God, eat...

A special place at TESTIVAL and in our hearts is occupied by our friends from the Association of Aid Associations for the MNRO of Serbia and the Association Živimo jezdeno. At the previous two TESTIVALS, we created inclusive workshops with them. We worked with them and taught them how to make dough and knead bread. At TESTIVAL #3, we planned the workshop "We make vanilla!", so they will learn with us how to make one of the most popular small cakes in Serbia.

The exhibitors, as in the first two TESTIVALS, are unique and very interesting. At the sales exhibition, it will be possible to buy a variety of diakonia at promotional prices, starting with homemade bread with homemade yeast, homemade rolls, homemade cakes, homemade pasta made from organic flour, and then through healthy, special spreads, such as pumpkin spread, pumpkin flour, and homemade spreads made of plums, apricots, homemade cold-pressed juices, and even ajvar, various homemade jams... In other words: something for everyone...

Traditionally, the Tourist Organization of the Municipality of Ražanj will be at TESTIVAL, with a large number of exhibitors and a complete ethno-gastronomic offer!

A special place and attention is attracted by the presentation of Wai Wai noodles - dough with the taste of the East, which will be led by professional chef Dejan Ilić. Šabac Dairy provided gifts to the first visitors on both days, as well as gift packages for all workshop participants.

13.15:XNUMX p.m. - Metro Horeca Center & Serbian Juniors Chefs Club (Association of Junior Chefs of Serbia) - master chef workshop - savory shortbread through the concept of functional food. We will deal with salty shortbread bites, through which we will present the concept of functional food represented in the dough itself and through various fillings that can have a positive effect on health.

14.00:XNUMX p.m. - Inclusive workshop with the Federation of MNRO Associations - We are making vanilla ice cream!

12.00 pm – Milica Bosnić, Perfect vanilla ice cream, how to make perfect vanilla ice cream?

13.00:XNUMX p.m. - Metro Horeca Center & Serbian Juniors Chefs Club (Junior Chefs Association of Serbia) - master chef workshop - sweets made from sweet shortcrust pastry. Sweet morsels made from vanilla-type crumbly dough with a focus on functional fillings (creams with freeze-dried fruit).

14.00:XNUMX p.m. – presentation of the city of Vranje and the Tourist Organization of Vranje

15.00 h - presentation of Wai Wai noodles - dough with the taste of the East

16.00 h - Announcement of the best exhibitor of the Testival, the best test product of the Testival and the best product "in love with the test" of the Testival. The awards will be given by the dean of the Faculty of Hotel Management and Tourism in Vrnjačka Banja, University of Kragujevac, Dr. Drago Cvijanović.
