Tavern cake, delicious and soft cake.
Tavern cake, ingredients:
- 300 g of flour,
- 10 g dry yeast,
- 180 ml of carbonated mineral water,
- 1 teaspoon of sugar,
- 1 teaspoon of salt,
- 3 tablespoons of oil.
Tavern cake, preparation:
- Heat the carbonated mineral water (so that it is lukewarm), add sugar, dry yeast and mix.
- Pour flour into a deep bowl, add salt and mix. Then add dissolved yeast, oil and knead the dough.
- Coat the dough on both sides.
- Place on the work surface and spread into a circle with your fingers (palms - not a rolling pin).
- Grease a baking pan (or a small pan) with oil and sprinkle with flour, put the dough and press it with your fingers.
- Cover with a clean kitchen towel and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- Prick the patterns with a fork.
- Heat the oven to 250 degrees, put the baking tray and reduce it to 180 degrees, then bake the cake for 15 minutes.
- Remove the finished cake from the oven, sprinkle with water, cover with a clean kitchen towel and leave to cool.
