Young potatoes are the tastiest when they are fried, nicely, in deep fat, right?! They are often prepared with dill sauce, boiled or fried. I like fried potatoes, but I find them "heavy".
However, I found a way to make them "easier" and equally delicious. I peel the potatoes first, then fry them at a medium temperature in a little oil.
Young potatoes, necessary ingredients:
- 500 g of young potatoes
- 4-5 tablespoons of olive oil
- spices to taste: allspice, sea salt, oregano...
Young potatoes, preparation:
(*If you don't have a potato peeler, the easiest way to peel new potatoes is to sprinkle them with sea salt, put on gloves and rub them.)
- Put potatoes in boiling water and boil for ten minutes, then add salt and boil for another minute.
- Take care not to overcook them.
- Drain the water and leave them for a minute to let the rest of the water evaporate.
- Pour the oil into the pan, heat it and add the potatoes
- Use a pan with a larger diameter so that the potatoes are in one layer.
- Fry them at a medium temperature until they are golden brown on all sides.
- Sprinkle them, if desired, with the listed spices.
You can prepare old potatoes in the same way.
