Zeljanik - Danijela Žikić - Recipes and Cookbook online

Vegetable, ingredients:

  • 500 g of finished crusts
  • 4 eggs
  • a bit of salt
  • 300 ml of sour water
  • 80 ml of oil
  • 1 glass (180 ml) of yogurt
  • 350 g of cheese
  • 500 g greens

Zeljanik, preparation:

  • Clean the greens from the stems. Wash in several waters. Drain the greens and add salt. Rub the greens with your hands, then rinse them in cold water. Chop the greens. Beat the eggs, add salt. Add oil, sour water and yogurt. Mix it up.
  • Spread one crust on the bottom of a greased pan. Sprinkle a few spoonfuls of filling, sprinkle greens and cheese. Arrange two more crusts on top and crumple the crusts a little. Sprinkle filling, greens and cheese. In this order, until all the skins are used up.
  • Cover the whole pie with the last crust and tuck the tops of the crust from the sides around the whole pie. Cover the pie with the rest of the filling.
  • Bake at 200 C for about 35 minutes until nicely golden.
  • Cut the warm pie into eighths and serve with yogurt, cream or sour milk!
  • Pleasant!
