The young ones.
Baby chicks, ingredients:
- 4 dl of water
- 0 dl of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 2 bags of vanilla sugar
- 1 level teaspoon of salt
- 100 grams of sugar
- 1 bag of dry yeast
- about 1 kg of flour
Mladenčići, preparation:
- Dissolve sugar and vanilla sugar in lukewarm water, add oil and mix.
- Sift the flour and add dry yeast and salt, mix everything by hand.
- Knead a smooth dough and let it rise for at least an hour, covered with foil, in a warm place
When the dough has doubled in size, knead it on the work surface and use a rolling pin to roll out a thick crust
1 to 1,5 cm according to your preference. Scoop out the young with a glass. The size is also according to your wish. - Arrange in a greased tray, coat each one with a little olive oil and sprinkle yellow sugar on top.
- Leave to rise for another 15-20 minutes.
- Bake at 200 degrees until golden brown.
