At the same time, they strengthen collagen, the building block of connective tissue such as cartilage and tendon.

The latest findings of modern science have revealed some mechanisms of action of substances such as ellagic acid, which are found in larger quantities in cherries, cherries, strawberries and raspberries. It is this chemical substance that is considered a powerful antioxidant that prevents damage to the DNA of the cell and thus reduces the chances of getting cancer.

It contains a lot of vitamin A, some vitamins B1, B2, B3 and B6 and about eight milligrams of vitamin C. Cherries also contain folic acid, calcium, potassium, iron, magnesium and zinc. Against rheumatism: If you suffer from rheumatism, it is recommended that you drink a glass of cherry juice three times a day for eight days.

To eliminate physical and mental exhaustion: Eat 259 grams of cherries three times a day. Sour cherries act quickly against a bad mood

For face and neck skin care: Grind ripe cherries (better white or yellow) and make a paste like puree. Apply to face and neck and keep for 20 minutes. Wash the skin with lukewarm water.

Against stones and sand in the bladder: Put 2 tablespoons of crushed cherry kernels in 100 g of 70% alcohol, close the bottle tightly and let it stand for 10 days. Take 6-10 drops per day diluted in a little water.

Against kidney inflammation, kidney stones and for better urination: pour one spoonful of cherry stems with 200 g of water or milk and boil for 1 to 2 minutes, leave covered for 5 minutes and then strain and drink 3 times a day.

Against hand and leg fatigue: massage hands and feet with cherry brandy several times during the day, without fail in the evening for 5 to 7 days.

Against heart disorders: grind 25 g of cherry pits and put in 80 g of strong komovica to stand for 10 days at a moderate temperature, then drink 5 drops of the tincture twice a day.

Cherries help with weight loss: Cherries are low in calories, fat-free, and high in water. Research has shown that increased intake of water in the body increases energy levels and helps speed up metabolism. Many people use the benefits of consuming water-rich fruits like cherries for weight loss.

You should know that 100 grams of fresh cherries contain only 32 calories on average, of which 82 grams are water, 0,2 grams of fat, 1 gram of protein, 16 grams of carbohydrates, 12 grams of sugar and 2,1 grams of fiber. You can freely eat them between meals or use them in fruit salads.
