Melaka, ingredients:
- 20 g of yeast
- 3 tablespoons of oil
- 1 spoon of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 egg
- 400 g of flour
- oil for frying
Mekike, preparation:
- Mix lukewarm milk with water, add sugar, crushed yeast and 2 spoons of flour. Mix, leave for a few minutes for the yeast to rise.
- Beat the egg with a fork, add oil, salt, added yeast and with the help of the rest of the flour, knead a smooth dough.
- Oil the pan, put the dough and cover with cling film. Let the dough double in size.
- Knead the risen dough, roll it thin with a rolling pin and cut it into squares with a wheel, which should also be cut across the middle.
- Fry in hot oil on both sides.
- Remove the pulp on a napkin to absorb excess fat.
- Serve with yogurt, milk, ajvar or cheese.
- Pleasant!
