  • 20 g of yeast
  • 3 tablespoons of oil
  • 1 spoon of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 egg
  • 400 g of flour

Mekike, preparation:

  • Mix lukewarm milk with water, add sugar, crushed yeast and 2 spoons of flour. Mix, leave for a few minutes for the yeast to rise.
  • Beat the egg with a fork, add oil, salt, added yeast and with the help of the rest of the flour, knead a smooth dough.
  • Oil the pan, put the dough and cover with cling film. Let the dough double in size.
  • Knead the risen dough, roll it thin with a rolling pin and cut it into squares with a wheel, which should also be cut across the middle.
  • Fry in hot oil on both sides.
  • Remove the pulp on a napkin to absorb excess fat.
  • Serve with yogurt, milk, ajvar or cheese.
  • Pleasant!
