New medal for Cavanza wine
At one of the most prestigious wine competitions, the International Wine Challenge (IWC), METRO wine - Cavanza, won prestigious awards. Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay wines from the Chilean winery Santa Rita deservedly won the bronze medals. Our medal winners come from two wine regions of Chile. Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the Rapel Valley region, while Chardonnay comes from the Aconcagua region.
Cavanza is produced in seven wine valleys in Chile and offers a great selection of premium rosé, red and white wines, which you can only find at METRO Cash & Carry distribution centers.
The METRO team of specialists and sommeliers has been carefully studying the wine regions for nine years, choosing the Wine of the Year, with the aim of offering customers a new exclusive wine at the best price. Through a careful selection process, the international wine experts from METRO chose the Chilean "Cavanza" of the Santa Rita winery as the wine of 2016.
The IWC is one of the competitions with the longest tradition in the world that lasts more than three decades, and is a guarantee of the quality of the awarded wines and an excellent recommendation for wine lovers around the world.
