Butter scones - Vesna Pavlović - Recipes and Cookbook online

Butter scones.

Cake butter, ingredients:

For the dough:

  • 700 g of flour,
  • 30 g of fresh yeast,
  • 300 ml of milk,
  • 2 eggs,
  • 50 ml of oil,
  • salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar.

To coat the dough:

  • 100 g of butter.

For coating and sprinkling:

  • 1 egg yolk,
  • if necessary, sesame.

Butter scones, preparation:

  • Dissolve yeast in 100 ml of milk, add sugar, 1 teaspoon of flour, mix and leave to rise.
  • Pour flour into a deep bowl, add 200 ml of lukewarm milk, eggs, oil, salt, added yeast and knead a medium-hard dough.
  • Cover with a clean kitchen towel and leave to rise.
  • Transfer the resulting dough to a floured work surface, roll it out with a rolling pin and coat it with softened butter.
  • Roll, cut and arrange the rolls in an oiled pan. Form the desired shape in the middle of the rolls (arrange the rolls according to your choice).
  • Leave to stand for 20 minutes.
  • Brush with beaten egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  • Bake in a well-heated oven at 180 degrees for 50 minutes.
  • Take the finished cake out of the oven, let it cool, then take it out of the pan and serve.
