COMPETITION FOR THE BEST GIBANICA OF SERBIA – gibanica with spinach.
Preparation: 10 minutes
Baking: 20 minutes
For 8 people
Gibanica with spinach, ingredients:
- 500 g pie crust
- 1 box of baby spinach
- coarse sea salt to taste
- 400 g of hard cheese
- 1,5 dl of olive oil
- 1-1,5 dl of water
Gibanica with spinach, preparation:
- Salt the spinach and mash it with your hands until it softens.
- Crumble the cheese, mix with the spinach and add 1 tablespoon of oil.
- Grease a small pan with oil and place 2 crusts crosswise so that the ends are over the edge. Arrange 4 crusts on top and spray each one with oil and water.
- Spread half the filling and stack the crusts again, the crusts must accumulate a little and sprinkle each one with oil and water. Another part of the filling and the rest of the crust.
- Fold the crusts that are sticking out and another crust over it, with which to tuck everything in.
- Brush with oil and water and bake at 200°C until golden brown, about 20 minutes.
- Serve when cool.
