"This is the first gathering of healthy food producers and our regular customers, with us, on our "field", in our area. We, as small producers, agreed to organize this. It was a joint idea. To show everyone that we can do it and that our customers and followers can come and see where our products come from. What kind of nature is this... This was a real opportunity for all-day socializing, exchange of ideas, information, suggestions, advice...", said the organizer, owner of the Sretenović Watermill, Tomislav Sretenović.

The village of St. Mark's Church

The village of Markova Crkva is located on the right bank of the river Toplica, right at its mouth in Kolubar. It is positioned about 75 kilometers from Belgrade, on the way to Valjevo, from which it is 18 kilometers away. It belongs to the municipality of Lajkovac in the Kolubara district. Mark's Church is an old settlement.

In the village there is the old church of St. Demetrius, which has been known since ancient times as "Mark's Church", so the whole village got its name from it. According to a tradition preserved in the Middle Ages in this border area, the church was built by a Duke Marko, so it was named Mark's Church. According to tradition, and it is probable, that it was built before the Kosovo battle.

Sretenović water mill

The Sretenović watermill was bought from the Turks as long ago as 1818 by the priest Sreten. According to him, Sretenović was born. Today, he works full steam and grinds organic and integral flour, raised by hand, on the farm of Sretenović, without pesticides and additives.
