Pogača is a type of round bread, which was baked daily in households in the past. It was usually made of wheat flour, and round bread made of corn flour (proja) is called proja. After baking, the cake would usually be burnt, so it had to be scraped off from the scraps, which was done either with a metal grater, or for that with a special knife, a kustur.
Nowadays, in urban and even rural areas, baking bread has mostly been replaced by buying bread in the store.
